Vic Laurie and a class This is an educational site that is intended for the home user of personal computers. The material is concerned with teaching some basic points about how to use personal computers and how they and their Windows operating systems work. This has always been one of my favorites. Don't miss their list of sister sites and their information on XP.

Windows for Beginners This site is for those who wish to learn some basics about how to use their computers for simple tasks without becoming embroiled in a whole lot of technical detail. It is also aimed at showing some elementary operations of Windows for those who are new to personal computers.
 

Elder Geek On Windows XP This site if so full of great information it would be hard to squeeze it all in with just a few words so just check it out for yourself and enjoy.

Tweak Hound shows you how to schedule Disk Defragmenter to Run Automatically in Windows XP, plus you can schedule all the tasks we covered to run automatically.


Ramesh Site This site contains registry fixes, scripts, Troubleshooting Guides and freeware utilities to resolve problems in Windows XP. The resources available in this site should help you learn, diagnose and troubleshoot the common problems you face in Windows XP. Additionally, there is a section for Internet Explorer, addressing the Frequently Asked Questions in IE.

Learn2Type for Schools is a FREE service for teachers and educators to monitor their student performance. Individual student accounts can be created, these accounts will be linked to your Teacher Console, allowing you to monitor each student's performance from a central location.  In Pictures online tutorials are based on pictures, not words. They're the easiest way to learn computer subjects. There's no complicated multimedia, just pictures that show exactly what to do. This is without a doubt one of the best tutorials sites I have visited.

Word Web This thesaurus/dictionary can be used to look up words from almost any program. In addition to displaying sense definitions and synonyms, WordWeb can find sets of related words. The database has more than 150,000 root words and 120,000 synonym sets, many proper nouns, pronunciations, and usage tags. WordWeb works off line, but when online you can also quickly view web references such as the Wikipedia encyclopedia.

Education World This site contains a massive amount of information on education and as always I liked the templates they offered.

Windows XP Keyboard Shortcuts and the sites offers all kinds of other helpfuls, worth giving it a good going over to find them all.
